Ofcom to make legal SSB/AM in the Uk
Single side band and AM to be made legal soon, in the UK.
Some of us have waited 30 years or more for this.
I have seen in the forums, people asking what will be the calling frequency.
Personally I think 12 USB but others may think differently.
The thing is as soon as the calling frequency starts being used, along come the people who will play music or just sit talking shit on there.
We have all seen it over the years, as a result I think there should be a centre frequency.
And 2 side frequencies, say ch11 and ch 13.
That of course is only my thaughts, but it would give every one a chance to make a contact.
Some people have very strong signals from the ch hogs, this would end all the arguments.
As far as I know we will be given AM at 4w, and SSB at 12W.
That may well be 12w ERP.
